Second seeded duo of Lukas Dlouhy and Pavel Vizner will have the chance to claim their second title of 2006 when they take on the No. 3 seeds Lucas Arnold and Leos Friedl in the Estoril Open final on Sunday.
Dlouhy and Vizner defeated Tomas Cibulec and Jaroslav Levinsky 6-3, 6-2. The Czech duo holds an impressive 15-5 record having won the title at Costa do Sauipe and reached the final at Valencia.
Arnold and Friedl advanced to the final with a walkover win over Marat Safin and Dmitry Tursunov. Safin had to pull out of the tournament because of a left ankle injury.
In the women’s competition, No. 2 seeds Ting Li and Tiantian Sun of China, the defending champions and winner of the Athens Olympic gold medal, won through to Saturday’s final with a 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 win over Neha and Shikha Uberoi in one hour and 57 minutes.
