Top Seeds Aim for Fourth Career Title

Polish duo Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski are doubles top seeds at the 17th Estoril Open this week, with Czech team Lukas Dlouhy and Pavel Vizner as No. 2 seeds.

Fyrstenberg and Matkowski, who are playing in today’s Open SEAT 2006 final in Barcelona, have a 17-9 record in 2006 with one final appearance coming at Costa do Sauipe in February.

The pair begins their campaign for a fourth career ATP title together against Carlos Berlocq and Yeu-Tzuoo Wang.

Dlouhy and Vizner, winners of the Costa do Sauipe title over the Polish duo, will meet local wild cards Frederico Gil and Goncalo Nicau in the first round.

Leos Friedl returns to the Estadio Nacional looking to defend the doubles title he won with Frantisek Cermak in 2005. With Cermak out of action this week, Friedl has turned to Lucas Arnold of Argentina.

Friedl and Vizner take on Australians Ashley Fisher and Jordan Kerr in the first round.

Czechs Tomas Cibulec and Jaroslav Levinsky are the No. 4 seeds. They will face Gilles Muller and Christophe Rochus first.
